Full Job Description Join our team at VHS Rehabilitation as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA). Proudly supported by Marquis Health Consulting Services Full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities available! Same Day Pay! 30, 60 & 90 Day contracts available! Flexible schedules, no productivity mandates, top pay rates, and weekend rates! $24-$35 an hour (all inclusive) Responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA): Administers the Occupational Therapy Program as established by the Occupational Therapist. Under the direct supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, assists in the ongoing evaluation of the patient referred to occupational therapy by the physician. Implements rehabilitative treatment programs for patients according to the physician's orders and the plan of treatment established by the Occupational Therapist, consults with the licensed Occupational Therapist and physician to provide feedback and report progress. Guides the patient in using therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities to improve function. Plans, modifies, and coordinates treatment plans with the supervising Occupational Therapist and other agency and contract-facility team members, including the physician, physical therapist, speech therapist, nursing staff, and social worker. Participates in staff meetings and case reviews as necessary. In consultation with the licensed Occupational Therapist, re-evaluates the treatment program and, as indicated by the individual's progress and physician's orders, modifies and changes treatment in accordance with the new information. Explains and instructs the family in the individual's treatment goals and program to ensure carryover in living arrangement and/or home; makes recommendations to the licensed Occupational Therapist regarding adaptive equipment. Maintains verbal and/or written communication among other personnel involved In the care of the individual, maintains clinical records on all patients referred to occupational therapy, in consultation with the licensed Occupational Therapist. Qualifications for Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA): Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting as a practicing OTA Current license in the state of practice. Must possess and maintain proof of current CPR training.
