Friendship is looking for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants to join our Friendship team, located in Roanoke and Salem, VA. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is responsible for administering an occupational therapy treatment program under the supervision of a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist.
Shifts Available:
PRN, as needed
Roles & Responsibilities:
Execute goal-oriented treatment plans and programs in coordination with other departments Adhere to departmental, organization and regulatory agency policies and procedures Assess treatment plan progressions to identify any deficiencies and make adjustment as needed Participate in program development, quality assurance and improvement efforts Supervise and collaborate with rehab aides/techs, students and others as assigned Identify areas of opportunity to improve quality of care for residents and/or improve departmental operations Comply with all local, state, federal, and facility policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy required Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant License required Experience in a long-term care/rehabilitation facility preferred Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day.
