Role:
- As a
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- , you will work under the supervision of a certified occupational therapist to design and implement customized therapy plans for our patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting patients with exercises, activities, and routines to improve their functional abilities and independence
- Conducting thorough assessments to identify patient needs and goals
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans to meet patient needs
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
- Educating patients and their families on proper techniques and strategies for continued progress
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a variety of settings, including skilled nursing facilities and outpatient clinics
- Utilize therapeutic activities and modalities to improve patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
- Participate in patient care conferences and team meetings to discuss patient progress and goals
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices through continuing education and professional development

Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Wisconsin state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
