The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office environment and a passion for providing high-quality care to children. In this role, you will support the optometrist and help ensure smooth daily operations while delivering exceptional service to our young patients and their families. Responsibilities Patient Care Assist with taking patient histories, obtaining vital signs, and preparing patients for exams Work closely with pediatric patients, helping them feel comfortable and at ease during visits Medical Testing Conduct preliminary testing such as visual acuity, eye pressure, and color vision tests Set up and assist with diagnostic equipment including autorefractors, tonometers, and retinoscopes Rooming Patients Prepare exam rooms for the optometrist and ophthalmologists, ensuring all necessary instruments and charts are ready Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam areas Patient Education Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families in a clear and friendly manner Help patients feel confident and informed about their care Medical Records Accurately document patient information while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Administrative Support Assist with scheduling, appointment confirmations, and coordinating referrals Answer phone calls and direct patients appropriately Stocking and Supplies Maintain inventory and ensure exam rooms and back office areas are fully stocked with necessary supplies and equipment Collaboration Work closely with optometrists, front office staff, and other team members to provide outstanding patient care and an efficient office experience Qualifications Bilingual preferred Previous medical office or pediatric experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Team player with a positive attitude What We Offer A fun, friendly, and family-oriented work environment Opportunity to grow with a brand-new clinic Supportive leadership and team culture Meaningful work helping children improve their vision and quality of life If you are enthusiastic about working with children and want to be part of an exciting new practice, we encourage you to apply!
