We are seeking someone who is confident, detail-oriented, patient-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate must have strong refraction experience and feel comfortable working closely with providers to support efficient patient flow while maintaining a high level of patient care. Key Responsibilities Perform patient workups, including medical history, chief complaint, medications, allergies, and preliminary testing Perform accurate manual refractions Assist providers with ophthalmic testing and patient care Perform diagnostic testing as needed, including but not limited to: Visual acuity IOP OCT Visual fields Fundus photos/Optomap Topography Lensometry Prepare exam rooms and ensure equipment is clean, stocked, and ready for use Document accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record Communicate clearly with providers, scribes, front desk, and other team members Support patient education and ensure patients feel comfortable throughout their visit Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude Help keep clinic flow moving in a high-volume environment Requirements Ophthalmic technician experience required Refraction experience required Strong understanding of ophthalmology/optometry clinic flow Ability to multitask in a busy, fast-paced environment Excellent communication and patient service skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Experience with ophthalmic testing equipment preferred EMR experience preferred Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who is confident in their clinical skills, especially refractions, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
