Job Description

THIS ROLE REQUIRES PRIOR OPHTHALMIC EXPERIENCE. APPLICATIONS WITHOUT AN OPHTHALMIC BACKGROUND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
Summit Eye Surgeons is the leader in customer service and experienced care when it comes to cataract surgery. Exceptional customer service and ethical medicine allow us to be the highest volume, cataract-focused practice in Arizona. We currently serve the Valley in North Scottsdale, Chandler, and Surprise. As an Ophthalmic Technician , you'll be responsible for preparing the patient for the exam with the doctor. You'll gather important medical information from the patient, perform preliminary tests, and gather measurements while providing highest quality of care and an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities:
Welcomes patients and visitors with a positive, warm disposition Work collaboratively to maintain efficient patient flow Obtains patient histories through intake assessments, making note of findings. Perform visual acuity, refractions, manual lensometry, and Tonopen tonometry tests. Check pupils, extra-ocular muscles, confrontational fields and inserts eye drops for dilation Maintain exam rooms, including cleaning/sterilization as necessary Complete administrative duties as necessary to prepare for clinic and surgery days.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required At least 1-year of experience in Ophthalmology required
COA, COT
