What You'll Do:
Create exceptional patient experiences by coordinating appointments, answering questions, verifying insurance benefits, and guiding patients through their vision care journey. Support clinical vision services by performing diagnostic testing, including retinal imaging, OCT scans, visual field testing, and other entrance assessments. Help patients see and feel their best by assisting with frame selection, lens recommendations, eyewear fittings, adjustments, repairs, and contact lens education. Manage optical orders and inventory by coordinating with laboratories, inspecting incoming eyewear for quality, maintaining inventory, and ensuring timely delivery to patients. Serve as a trusted community health partner by promoting Chapa-De's mission, supporting community outreach events, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and patient privacy standards.
Experience and Skills:
What You'll Bring:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Current ABO (American Board of Opticianry) certification and Five (5) year experience working in an optometry or ophthalmologist office. Proficiency in optical equipment, lensometers, and fitting tools. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and insurance billing processes.
