Office hours are Monday
  • Friday and 1 Saturday per month.
Candidate must possess strong customer service skills, be professional, reliable and organized. Various insurance plan knowledge is a plus (VSP, EyeMed, Spectera, Davis).
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performs diagnostic tests and obtain detailed medical history
  • Performs testing: Optomap, Visual Field, Topography or OCT scans, Lensometry, Autorefractor, Tonometry
  • Explains to patient clearly expectations with workup and exam with doctor
  • Understands how to prioritize and maintain efficient patient/doctor workflow
  • Triage phone calls, medication refills, and patient queries
  • Schedule appointments, confirm patient appointments, and collect exam co-pays.
  • Great patient rapport, customer service skills, and a team player.
Able to take instructions well and gain additional skills/knowledge.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Optical experience preferred, but not required. Willing to train the right candidate.
  • Excellent organization, time-management, solution-finding, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort using a computer / iPad and learning software (Eyefinity PM, EHR)
  • Ability to project a professional image
