Optometric Assistant

In this vital role, you will assist with patient care, manage medical records, and ensure that every individual receives attentive, professional service. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, including pediatrics, while supporting the clinical team with essential administrative and clinical tasks. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures to ensure a seamless check-in process Prepare patients for examinations by performing preliminary tests and collecting relevant medical history Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA Assist with optical services including frame selection, lens measurements, and retail sales to enhance patient satisfaction Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and coordinating follow-up care Requirements Prior experience in medical office settings or ophthalmology clinics is highly preferred but will train the right assistant.
