Responsibilities:
- Assist ophthalmologists in providing patient care
- Perform preliminary eye examinations, including taking patient history and measuring visual acuity
- Conduct diagnostic tests, such as tonometry, OCT, and visual field testing
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist during examinations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Provide support at the front desk, including scheduling appointments and answering phone calls
- Educate patients on proper eye care and contact lens use
Skills:
- Must have strong knowledge of ophthalmology procedures and equipment preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
