Ophthalmic Technician

Job Summary Our client is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to work closely with a doctor. The primary responsibilities include patient work-ups, medical history collection, and preparation of necessary medications. This role is essential in ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the day. Key Responsibilities Assist with patient work-ups, including medical and eye history collection. Conduct eye checks, manage paperwork, and take necessary photographs. Work closely with the doctor, ensuring all preparations are complete before patient meetings. Handle 20-25 patients per day, spending approximately 12-15 minutes per patient. Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in Retina, Optometry, Medical Assistant, or CNA roles. Understanding of medical and eye history is essential. Skills Attention to detail and reliability are crucial due to high patient volume. A strong willingness to learn and the opportunity for growth into more advanced roles. Additional Requirements A valid driver's license is required for occasional travel for training or emergencies, with mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate.
