Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Optometric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our optometrists in providing high-quality patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive medical office environment. If you have medical background outside of optometry that's ok! We're willing to train the right candidate! Duties
  • Assist the optometrists with patient exams, including taking vital signs, updating medical records, and performing other necessary tasks.
  • Operate medical office equipment, such as ophthalmic machines and optical systems.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and files.
  • Conduct pre-exam and post-exam procedures, including cleaning and preparing equipment.
  • Assist with medical office administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing inventory.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and maintain a positive and welcoming office atmosphere.
  • Stay current with new medical technologies and systems, and assist with implementing new procedures and equipment.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain confidentiality of patient information. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Familiarity with medical office systems and software (preferred)
  • Ability to accurately maintain medical records and files.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical office environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
