With four locations, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality services and patient satisfaction. Summary We are seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our dynamic team at Eye Physicians & Surgeons, PC. In this role, you will play a vital part in assisting our ophthalmologists and ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care. This position is essential for maintaining the efficiency of our practice and enhancing patient experiences. Responsibilities Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures. Perform preliminary tests including visual acuity, tonometry, and other diagnostic tests. Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately. Maintain and manage medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic. Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative care instructions. Ensure the clinic environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients. Assist with front desk duties as needed, including scheduling appointments. Requirements Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 20 lbs, reach, and push a wheelchair or light equipment as needed.
