Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures in accordance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Prepare exam rooms using aseptic techniques and operate medical equipment including Autorefractor and fundus photos Manage electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems for accurate documentation of patient visits and medical histories Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and handling patient inquiries with professionalism Maintain organized medical records, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and uphold clinic safety standards Experience Previous experience in a medical office environment or optical setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for all technical skills Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ophthalmology concepts is advantageous Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms enhances efficiency in managing patient information Experience in retail sales or customer service roles demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and sales aptitude Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced clinic setting Basic understanding of medical coding and billing processes is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided Enthusiasm for learning about pediatric eye care and supporting diverse patient populations is highly valued Embark on a fulfilling career path where your dedication helps improve patients' vision health while developing valuable clinical skills.
