We are looking for a motivated, dependable, positive and professional individual to join our team as an Ophthalmic Technician. The successful candidate will play an important role in gathering patient medical history and performing visual screening and diagnostic testing before the doctor visits the patient. The technician will ensure that exam rooms are cleaned between patients, including sanitizing equipment. Responsibilities Obtain and document accurate ocular and systemic history Instructs the patient regarding testing procedures Performs essential preliminary testing and diagnostic tests such as PentaCam, OCT, IOL Master, visual acuity, manual and automated lensometry, Goldmann tonometry

• manual and/or automated refraction is preferred but not required Administer topical ophthalmic drops under the direction of the Ophthalmologist or Optometrist Assist with in-office procedures ensuring proper informed consent has been obtained, set up and clean up room from procedures Maintains cleanliness and keeps equipment in order within the exam rooms during the workday Instructs the patient regarding testing procedures Maintains cleanliness and keeps equipment in order within the exam rooms during the workday May assist in providing training to other ophthalmic personnel as assigned May function as a scribe for the ophthalmologist or optometrist Perform other tasks as required Travel between locations for support as needed Follow HIPAA guidelines Performance Requirements Ophthalmic knowledge required Ability to speak clearly and concisely Provide professional, friendly, and compassionate patient care Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers and doctors Ability to exercise judgment, initiative, and possess problem-solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy in EHR system Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player Benefits Offering Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and Paid Time Off for
