Ophthalmic Technician We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician for a full-time position in Pensacola, Florida. The role involves performing clinical measurements, diagnostic testing, assisting in procedures, and maintaining ophthalmic equipment to support healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional eye care. Job Responsibilities Greet and escort patients to examination rooms, ensuring they are comfortable and informed. Perform preliminary tests including visual acuity assessments, tonometry, visual field testing, and pachymetry. Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment such as OCT, fundus cameras, and automated refractors. Document patient information, test results, and medical histories in electronic health records (EHR). Assist ophthalmologists during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries, preparing instruments and supplies. Provide patients with information about eye health, treatment options, and post-examination care instructions. Ensure ophthalmic instruments and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support team efforts to optimize patient care and office operations. Stay updated on advancements in ophthalmology through ongoing education and training. Qualifications COA certification preferred Ophthalmology or optometry experience required Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Compensation and Benefits Pay Rate:

$20/hour (Depending on experience)
