Ophthalmic Technician - Private Practice | Coeur d'Alene, ID Ironwood Vision Center Ironwood Vision Center is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing private practice. We are committed to delivering efficient, high-quality patient care in a supportive, team-focused environment. Responsibilities Perform preliminary testing (visual acuity, auto-refraction, tonometry) Conduct diagnostic testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography) Accurately document patient history and exam findings in EHR Assist the doctor with exams and patient flow Educate patients on procedures and treatment plans Maintain exam rooms and equipment Qualifications Prior ophthalmic or medical office experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate) Strong attention to detail and organization Excellent communication and patient care skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment COA/COT certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Performance-based incentives Paid time off (PTO) Employee eyewear benefits CE and certification support Schedule Full-time preferred (4-5 days/week) Some Saturdays required No evenings
