Our practice offers comprehensive services for patients of all ages, emphasizing comfort, quality, and personalized care. Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Optician/ Optometric Tech to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will support our optometrists by providing excellent patient care, managing clinical procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every patient while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist with the intake process, including collecting medical histories and verifying insurance information Prepare patients for eye examinations by performing preliminary tests and explaining procedures clearly Assist with optical tasks including frame selection, lens measurements, and fitting eyewear Maintain patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems like OfficeMate/ExamWritter while ensuring HIPAA compliance Follow aseptic techniques during clinical procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety Measure vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse to support accurate assessments Support patients during optometry-related tasks and be able to explain basic anatomy and medical terminology Experience Prior experience working in a medical office or clinic environment is preferred Knowledge of optometry practices, optical procedures, and medical coding or billing is a plus Familiarity with EMR systems such as OfficeMate, ExamWriter or similar platforms is highly desirable Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to eye health Experience in retail sales or front desk roles can be beneficial for managing patient interactions effectively Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with professionalism and enthusiasm in a fast-paced setting Join us at Park Family Eye Care to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through compassionate care and expert support. Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 40.0 per week
