We are seeking a Certified Ophthalmic Technician with 2+ years of experience to join our team in Greenwood, IN. In this role, you will act as a vital patient advocate, providing high-quality preliminary care, performing specialized diagnostic testing, and maintaining effective communication between patients and physicians.

Key Responsibilities Patient Advocacy & History:

Obtain, document, and record accurate patient medical histories into the EHR system; relay patient concerns clearly to the physician.

Diagnostic Testing:

Accurately perform advanced diagnostic testing, including: Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

Ophthalmic Biometry Visual Fields Fundus Photography Corneal Topography Manual Refractions Clinic Operations:

Keep examination rooms stocked, clean, and equipment in optimal working order.

Patient Care Coordination:

Triage incoming patient phone calls and assist with appointment scheduling as needed.

Qualifications & Skills Certification:

Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COA, COT, or COMT) required.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of clinical ophthalmic experience.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in EHR systems and operating ophthalmic diagnostic equipment.

Soft Skills:

Strong communication, clinical accuracy, and excellent patient care skills.
