Job Description
Optometric Technician Indiana Eye Doctors is a progressive private practice located inside Lenscrafters in the Tippecanoe Mall in Lafayette, IN. We are seeking a
PART TIME
Optometric Technician who is friendly, energetic, organized, detail oriented with excellent communication skills to join and grow with our team!Responsibilities:
- Implement office policies and standards to guide daily operations.
- Address any patient concerns with patience and a caring attitude.
- Ensure complete patient confidentiality as established by the practice policies and HIPAA.
- Coordinate with office staff to ensure practice operations are running as planned.
- Verify vision insurance eligibility and file insurance claims.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Pre-test patients for eye examinations.
- Train new contact lens wearers.
- Maintain/clean office and exam rooms
- Maintain contact lens trial inventory.
Office Hours:
- Monday
- Friday 10:00AM-6:00PM
- Saturday 10:00AM-6:00PM
- Sunday 12:00PM-4:00PM Qualifications and skills:
- GED or High School Diploma
- Optometric or medical office experience is preferred, but not required.
- On-the-job training
- Must be comfortable with technology. Specifically, electronic health records, google applications, and Microsoft office.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently in a fast pace environment with little or no supervision.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
Pay:
$14.00- $15.
