An Ophthalmic Technician works directly with the patients and is required to deliver exceptional patient care while being motivated and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform patient work-ups and accurately record patient history and chief complaints. Accurately record medications. Checking and reading eye glass prescriptions. Checking and recording visual acuity. Administering of eye drops and instill dilation medications. Performing a refraction to obtain a patients eye prescription. Checking and recording eye pressures. Assisting doctors with minor in-office procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as an Ophthalmic assistant or technician or have worked in the eye care facility. Strong communication skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR). Dependable, punctual, and professional.
