Job Description:
Optometric Technician Bay Eye Center is a leading eye care center soon to be located in Barnstable, Massachusetts, renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional vision care services to patients. We are currently seeking a motivated, experienced and customer-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our dedicated team and help us provide outstanding eye care to our clients. •Previous Optometric Technician Experience Required•
Responsibilities:
1.
Assist patients during clinical pre-testing:
Providing clinical pre-testing for patients prior to them seeing the Optometrist. This will include using specific instrumentation and having an attention to detail to transcribe readings into EHR. 2.
Cross-Training:
Ability to support other departments as needed. Examples include, answering phone calls, greeting patients entering the office, processing contact lens sales, etc. 3.
Daily Chart Preparation:
Ability to chart prep and prepare for the days patient volume using EHR software. 4.
Provide outstanding customer service:
Create a warm and inviting atmosphere for patients by offering exceptional customer service throughout their experience. Understand and address any concerns or issues raised by patients, ensuring their complete satisfaction and building long-lasting relationships. 5.
Maintain accurate patient records:
Record and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information, including prescription details, measurements, or fittings provided. Utilize practice management software to manage patient records efficiently. 7.
Collaborate with the team:
Work closely with our team of Optometrists, techs, and Opticians to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of eye care services. Communicate effectively to relay patient information, special requirements, and any concerns regarding optical products.
Requirements:

Strong Electronic Health Record skills:
Demonstrate proficiency in using Electronic charting and navigating a patient portal. 2.
Customer-oriented approach:
Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide outstanding customer service. Patient-centered focus and attentiveness to individual needs are essential. 3.
Attention to detail:
Display meticulous attention to detail in note keeping, communication and maintaining precise patient records. Ensure accuracy and quality in all tasks. 4.
Team player:
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute positively to the overall functioning of the eye care center. 5.

Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in eye care needs.
