Full Job Description General:
Braintree Eye Associates is a fast-paced optometry office located in Braintree, Massachusetts just 15 minutes south of Boston. Utilizing the latest technology, our office serves a large geographical area along with its diverse population. We're constantly on the look-out for intelligent, motivated, and friendly people to join our team as we continue to expand.
Duties:
An optometric/ophthalmic technician is an exciting position involving working with many different patients on a daily basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Detailed medical history taking
  • Non-contact tonometry
  • Refraction
  • Digital lensometry
  • Vision and entrance screening (acuity, motility, pupil testing, and visual fields)
  • Pupillary dilation
  • Retinal photography
  • OCT screening
  • Contact lens fitting
  • Pachymetry
  • Aiding doctors in advanced testing
Requirements:
We are looking for motivated professionals interested in a position where they are constantly challenged to learn and improve. Participation in the growth and expansion of our office will require intelligence, good interpersonal skills, and dedication to the position. Working knowledge of Windows-based computer programs and electronic medical records software is a plus. Experience is preferred but training is available.
