Job Description:

We are looking for a part-time optometric assistant to perform customer service, clerical, and technical services to assist the optometrist. The optometric assistant will facilitate communication between patients, opticians, and the optometrist.

Job Responsibilities:

Greeting customers, answering questions, and updating electronic health records Performing administrative duties, such as keeping records, scheduling appointments, filing insurance claims, and performing bookkeeping. Preparing patients for vision examinations, such as administering eye drops and seating patients at eye-testing machines. Assisting with vision examinations, such as taking visual acuity measurements.

Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. A strong attention to detail. The ability to multitask. The ability to work with delicate tools and materials.

Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
