Ophthalmic Technician

Key Responsibilities Perform patient workups:

visual acuity, intraocular pressure, pupil testing, EOMs Obtain and document medical histories and chief complaints Assist with diagnostic testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, topography) Prepare patients for examination and assist the provider during visits and minor procedures Educate patients on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and follow-up care Administer eye drops as directed Maintain accurate, thorough documentation in the EMR Ensure exam rooms and equipment are clean, stocked, and functioning properly Qualifications Prior experience as an ophthalmic or optometric technician required Strong clinical skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced setting Excellent communication and patient interaction skills Comfortable with EMR systems and diagnostic equipment What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience and certification Stable, team-oriented work environment Consistent schedule Opportunities for professional growth and certification support This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated technician who takes pride in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care.
