JOB SUMMARY
The SPD Team Leader will possess advanced knowledge and skills necessary to prepare and distribute sterile supplies and equipment for use in the care and treatment of patients, as well as, functioning as a technician in the department. The Team Lead will coordinate and prioritize the processing of all surgical instruments throughout the entire process including decontamination, preparation and packaging, terminal sterilization, and preparing surgical case carts and linen packs. The Team Lead will work alongside the SPD Supervisor to provide leadership for the staff and coordinate workflow activities within the department. The Team Lead will support the SPD Supervisor and Clinical Manager to promote standardized work.
REQUIREMENTS
Preferred High School Diploma 2-4 years 2 years as a SPD Tech. Previous experience managing supplies and/or processing surgical instruments in a hospital setting is preferred. Required CBSPD•Certified SPD Tech
