Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our dynamic eye care team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical and optical procedures, with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. As an integral part of our clinic, the Optometric Technician will support optometrists by preparing patients, conducting preliminary assessments, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role offers an engaging environment where your technical skills and compassionate approach will directly contribute to improved vision health for our patients. Job will be centered in Gaylord, but candidate must be willing to travel to our other locations as needed-Bellaire, Boyne City and Cheboygan. Mileage will be reimbursed. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Meet one on one with patients collecting and entering medical information Assist with eye examinations, including administering tests and using specialized medical equipment. Maintain aseptic technique during procedures to ensure patient safety. Manage medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient information. Support front desk operations, including scheduling appointments, verifying medical and vision insurance and entering patient information into EHR. Willing to learn general knowledge of ocular anatomy Work with team members to ensure patient has best possible experience in our office.
Qualifications:
Must be able to multi task and prioritize tasks. Must possess some computer and general office skills. Must be friendly, reliable, professional and willing to learn in a progressive team environment. Must be able to adapt to patient needs and disposition. Must have reliable transportation. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care. A strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
