DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
Conduct preliminary patient interviews and record relevant data such as chief complaint, health history, medications, and allergies for the physician's review. Measure vitals when necessary. Prepare patient and exam rooms for all procedures and provide assistance to physicians for procedures. Clean and restock exam rooms including restock of supplies, equipment and medications. Review expiration dates of supplies and medication and take appropriate action. Assist physicians as required and perform all other duties as assigned. Conduct a variety of eye examinations and testing as directed by physician. May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) year of health related or patient care experience. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
