The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care in an ophthalmology setting. This position requires a blend of technical skills and interpersonal abilities to effectively assist both patients and healthcare professionals. Duties Perform preliminary eye examinations, including visual acuity tests and intraocular pressure measurements. Assist ophthalmologists during examinations. Document patient medical histories and maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide education to patients regarding eye health, treatment plans, and post-operative care instructions. Manage clinic operations, including scheduling appointments and coordinating with other medical office staff. Skills Experience working in a medical office or clinic environment, with a strong understanding of patient care protocols. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. Ability to work with attention to detail. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data protection.
