Mattax Neu Prater Eye Center, The Best in Sight, has a Full-time Ophthalmic Technician/Assistant opening. Ideal candidate will be dependable, detail oriented, willing to take instruction, and able to work in high volume, fast paced environment with a diverse population.

Job Responsibilities:

Must have the ability to provide good patient care and have customer service background and computer experience. Provide chair-side assistance, performing diagnostic tests as required by doctor. Administer treatment as allowed and ordered by physician. Prepares patient for eye exam. Ensure exam rooms are cleaned between each patient.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required. Previous healthcare experience required, eye experience strongly preferred , but willing train the right person. Certification also preferred . Strong knowledge of medical office procedures. Good in computers and relevant software applications and practice management technology. Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment. Ability to be proactive and take initiative. Strong organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Requires attention to detail. Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment. Excellent customer service skills. Prior Ophthalmic Technician experience in a clinical or medical office preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
