We are looking for an Optometric Technician to join our growing specialty eye care practice. We are a small, close-knit team that believes in treating our patients—and each other—like family. Every member of our team plays an important role in providing exceptional patient care. What You'll Do Assist the doctors with comprehensive eye examinations and specialty testing Perform diagnostic testing using advanced ophthalmic equipment Obtain and document patient medical and ocular histories Educate patients on treatment plans, specialty lenses, and dry eye therapies Coordinate medication prior authorizations and communicate with insurance companies Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical equipment Assist with specialty contact lens fittings and follow-up care Support front office and clinical team members as needed to ensure exceptional patient care Help create an outstanding patient experience from check-in through check-out Skills & Qualifications We're looking for someone who is: Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Forward-thinking and able to anticipate the needs of patients and providers Goal-oriented and motivated to continuously improve An excellent communicator who enjoys collaborating with others Flexible and willing to step into different roles when needed Comfortable learning new technologies and procedures Professional, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional patient care Dependable with a positive, team-first attitude Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is highly preferred: Prior authorizations for medications Zeiss
