Qualifications and Experience Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications Knowledge of practice management and word processing software Current CPR certification Good communication skills, written and verbal Minimum one year of customer service experience in medical office setting, or other fast paced work setting Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following Greets patients and escorts them from the waiting room and/or exam room to the Radiology department Prepares patients for study by dressing patient according to safety protocols Completes screening process on all patients prior to study Ensures laboratory results are received as indicated by study requirements Ensures all studies scheduled have correct orders and insurance authorizations on file prior to patient arrival and transmits to third party radiology group Utilize imaging software to transmit images to third party radiology group for purposes of study interpretation Takes stock inventory and completes ordering as directed by Clinical Manager Communicates with outside facilities and third-party participants to request and/or maintain accurate records for regulatory compliance Maintains compliance with Infection Control guidelines Complies with all OSHA mandates Performs other duties as required and assigned by Manager, including schedule changes and travel to office locations as assigned From the mountains to the coast, EmergeOrtho is North Carolina's premier provider, recognized for offering world-class, comprehensive, and compassionate care serving patients with 60 locations in 28 counties.
