We are looking for a reliable, steady, and personable part-time team member for a dual role that includes clinical technician and front-desk responsibilities , depending on the shift. The ideal candidate will become part of our core team of talented individuals who work together every day to keep the clinic running smoothly . We are looking for someone with prior professional experience who is dependable, calm under pressure, enjoys working with children, and learns new systems and processes quickly. Job Responsibilities Clinical Technician Greet and work directly with pediatric patients and their families Take medical histories and update patient information Check vision and perform preliminary testing Administer eye drops as directed Assist the physician with patient care and keep patient flow moving efficiently Learn and follow established clinical procedures Front Desk Greet and check in patients and families Schedule appointments and answer the telephone Maintain patient charts and records Use computer systems and office technology Learn and use our new Nextech check-in system Handle filing and other administrative tasks Qualifications Previous experience in a medical or healthcare environment required Reliable, responsible, and dependable Calm, pleasant, and professional, especially when the office is busy Detail-oriented and organized Quick learner who can learn and consistently follow new processes Comfortable working with children and their families Positive, team-oriented attitude Comfortable switching between clinical and administrative responsibilities Professional and confident interacting with patients Able to work independently while also being a supportive member of the team Ophthalmology experience or certification as an ophthalmic assistant is not required. We are willing to train the right person, particularly someone who already has a solid foundation of professional or medical-office experience. Schedule This is a part-time, temp-to-permanent position .
