Are you looking to break into the healthcare field in a role where you can make a difference every day? Eye Care Center of North Jersey , a busy, well-established optometry office in the heart of Scotch Plains, is looking for a dependable, friendly, and motivated individual to join our team as a Full-Time Optometric Technician . This is a hands-on position with opportunities to learn on the job. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working directly with patients.
What You'll Be Doing:
Welcome patients and assist them throughout their visit Operate all pre-testing equipment (training provided) Prepare patients for their exam and assist with clinical tasks Teach first-time contact lens wearers how to insert and remove lenses Front desk duties: answering phones, scheduling appointments, check-in/check-out Verify insurance benefits Maintain accurate patient records in our EHR system Assist with retail sales (contact lenses and basic eye care products) Support daily administrative operations like filing, organizing, and faxing
Who You Are:
High school graduate or equivalent Professional, friendly, and eager to learn Comfortable using computers and technology Great at multitasking and staying organized Confident communicator - in person and on the phone Able to work independently and follow directions Prior experience in healthcare is not required Why Work With Us?
