Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and efficiently manage intake procedures using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. Prepare patients for examinations by performing tests such as visual acuity assessments, intraocular pressure measurements, and slit-lamp evaluations with aseptic technique. Educate patients on eye health, treatment plans, and post-procedure care while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Maintain detailed medical records, update charts promptly, and support medical coding and billing processes related to ophthalmic services. Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling retail sales of optical products when applicable. Requirements Prior experience in medical office settings or clinic environments preferred but not required; experience specifically in ophthalmology or optometry is highly desirable. Excellent patient care skills with a friendly demeanor and the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
