Job Description

Optometric Medical Technician Full Time Medical, Retirement, Vision The Candidate will be able to:
  • Assist the doctor with patient examinations by taking case history information and performing tests for visual fields, keratometry, tonometry, depth perception, color vision, and additional tests as needed
  • Efficiently work up patients while making them feel welcome and keep the doctor on schedule
  • Counsel and teach patients about general contact lens topics. Perform instruction of insertion and removal of all types of contact lenses
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient electronic health records efficiently
  • Prepare exam rooms at the start and end of each day
  • Manage inventory, including contact lenses, solutions, cases, ophthalmic drops, and office supplies
  • Support the team in keeping the office clean and running efficiently Minimum requirements for the position include:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to multitask while in a fast-paced clinic environment
  • Excellent customer service skills, friendly demeanor, and detail oriented
  • Stable work history
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics
  • Ideal candidates would have healthcare experience such as nursing assistant, medical tech, home health aide, or any experience dealing directly with patients

Monday Closed Tuesday 9:00-5:30 Wednesday 8:00-2:00 Thursday 9:00-7:00 Friday 9:00-5:30 Saturday 8:00-1:00
