Job Description

Multi-location and multi-doctor eye care practice in Manhattan and Elmhurst, Queens area looking for full-time Ophthalmic technician. Our practice is growing but functions as a "big family" and we are looking to find the next member to join our team. Ideal candidate has prior work experience in the eye care field, and possess strong leadership qualities. Personality must be well-spoken, cheerful, and accommodating. The goal of the practice is to provide a high-level concierge experience for my patient's eye care needs. Looking for someone to bring a high-energy and positive attitude to daily work environment. Being able to speak a second language and having a creative edge would be considered a plus. Looking for candidates that will go above and beyond every day to make each patient encounter unique and special. Job Requirements of Ophthalmic Technician Perform a basic intake of each patient with a general history Obtain visual acuity testing Manual refraction General mastery and knowledge of ophthalmic testing:
OCT, HVF, IOL
master, cornea topography Set up for basic procedures Record exam findings and utilization of EMR Complete assessment and plan documentation Qualifications of Ophthalmic Technician Personality must be well-spoken, cheerful, and accommodating Computer savvy, given that all testing and notes are done on electronic medical records Proficient in Word and Excel Bilingual is a plus Minimum of 1 year prior experience in eye care field Strong leadership and communication skills Punctual Compensation Full-time position (40hrs) Hourly $18.00 - $24.00+ (Based on experience)
