We are seeking an Ophthalmic Technician / Medical Assistant to join our team. No prior ophthalmology experience is required—we will provide comprehensive training for the right candidate. Many of our most successful technicians started with little or no eye-care experience and have developed into highly skilled members of our clinical team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, learning new skills, and being part of a fast-paced medical environment.
Responsibilities Include:
Perform patient intake and clinical workups Measure visual acuity and collect patient history Perform ophthalmic diagnostic testing and imaging Prepare patients for doctor examinations Accurately document findings in the electronic medical record (EMR) Assist doctors and clinical staff with efficient patient flow Provide compassionate, professional care to patients
What We Are Looking For:
Strong desire to learn and grow in healthcare Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical setting Strong attention to detail and accuracy Professional attitude and dependable work ethic Comfortable using computers and learning new technology Team player with a patient-focused mindset Preferred Qualifications (Not Required): Prior healthcare, medical assistant, or patient-care experience College degree or healthcare-related education Experience working in a medical office environment
