This role involves the meticulous assembly, alignment, and testing of optical devices, ensuring adherence to strict quality standards and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with measurement tools, and the ability to interpret detailed schematics and blueprints. This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to innovative optical solutions within a dynamic production environment. Responsibilities Assemble optical components and assemblies using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized industrial equipment. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and production documents to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to verify component dimensions and alignment. Perform mechanical fabrication tasks including welding, soldering, machining, and fabrication of parts as required. Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process to identify defects or deviations from specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols and safety procedures. Operate pneumatic tools, forklifts, and other machinery safely within warehouse or production settings. Support manual handling activities involved in the transportation and positioning of delicate optical parts. Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret complex technical drawings and implement precise assembly techniques. Assist in troubleshooting assembly issues and recommend process improvements for efficiency. Experience Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly environments, preferably within optical or precision instrument production. Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools. Strong mechanical knowledge including blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and fabrication techniques. Hands-on experience with soldering, welding, machining, and use of power tools. Familiarity with shop math principles necessary for measurements and calculations during assembly processes. Warehouse experience or familiarity with material handling equipment such as forklifts is advantageous. Knowledge of safety protocols related to PPE use, manual handling, welding, and industrial tool operation. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions meticulously.
