Job Description

Sachem Eye Care is looking for a Part Time Receptionist/Ophthalmic Technician to join our team! Candidates must be friendly, courteous, detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask. Candidates must also maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful, but not required
  • Candidate's role will expand based on the needs of our growing practice.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to : Detailed data entry in EMR system Chart preparation Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits Answering multi-line phone Scheduling appointments Greeting patients Collecting copays and posting payments Updating and scanning patient records Perform and record patient medical history. Conduct tests, such as: visual acuities, auto-refractions, visual field testing, and retinal photos. Conduct contact lens insertion/removal training and education. Maintain the flow of the office. Ensure all patient demographics and updated paperwork are correctly entered into EMR system and in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Other duties as needed. On the job training will be provided.
REQUIREMENTS
:

  • Flexible schedule 20-25 hours per week

  • Medical office administration Pay is based on experience with possibility of review following performance.
Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
