In this vital role, you will assist with ophthalmic patient examinations, operate specialized medical equipment, manage electronic health records, and provide outstanding patient service. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate the intake process efficiently Prepare patients for ophthalmic examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort Operate ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment including A-scan biometry and tonometry devices with precision Assist with ophthalmology-specific tests like eye refraction, visual acuity assessments, and ocular health evaluations Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately, documenting patient data, exam results, and medical history Support the clinical team by applying aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure a sterile environment Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, offering education on eye health, and ensuring a positive experience Experience Prior experience in a medical office setting or ophthalmology clinic preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye health and anatomy enhances performance in this role Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is advantageous for efficient record management Dr. Joe Razzano RazzanoVision.com 614-405-7899 Razzano Vision Care is a multi-location Optometric practice affiliated with Target Optical that specializes in vision and medical eyecare.
