In this vital role, you will assist in eye examinations, operate specialized ophthalmic diagnostic equipment, and ensure a welcoming, efficient environment for patients. Your expertise will support optometrists in delivering exceptional eye care while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Duties Prepare patients for their eye examinations by taking accurate vital signs and collecting comprehensive intake information. Assist with eye refraction procedures and perform basic clinical tests under supervision to support accurate diagnosis. Manage electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems), ensuring precise documentation of patient histories, exam results, and treatment plans while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, verifying patient insurance information, and managing medical records with attention to detail. Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring a comfortable experience for all patients, including pediatric populations. No experience is necessary, however it is a plus! If you are good with people, have great customer service skills and want to make a difference, you would be a great asset to our team!
