Description:
We are looking for a technician to help perform eye tests and provide excellent eye care to our patients. The technician duties and responsibilities are included below, but they are not limited to. We are also asking for them to be successful in this role, to pay very close attention to details, and treat all of our patients with kindness and respect.Duties & Responsibilities:
(include, but not limited to. We will train upon hiring)- Help the doctors conduct routine eye exams for patients.
- Maintain patient records through ExamWriter and OfficeMate.
- Discuss with the patient's health history.
- Assist doctors in prescribing medications to treat ocular diseases and disorders.
- Scribing, charting, and patient work up.
- Perform pre- and post-operation checks.
- Pretesting, visual acuity, and special testing.
- Assisting the doctors in checking patients for signs of diseases, referring and scheduling them to other specialists when needed.
- Effective communication skills between doctors, colleagues, and patients.
- Schedule and reschedule patients to their corresponding needs.
Skills Required:
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Customer service oriented.
- Be able to multitask and work well in a busy environment.
- Knowledge with operating a computer and being capable of typing.
- Ability to work in close contact with patients and colleagues in a caring and professional manner.
