Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Paper chart & EHR experience a big plus. Knowledge of medical instrumentation and its proper care and usage needed within the field of Ophthalmology Knowledge of medical intake & exam documentation with paper charts COA (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant) or COT (Certified Ophthalmic Technician) strongly preferred Priority given to candidates with ophthalmic technician and scribing experience!Demonstrated Skills:
Maintains patient confidentiality. Demonstrates working knowledge of eye anatomy, disease, symptoms and ocular medications. Has knowledge of contact lenses. Utilizes proper eye drop technique and sterility. Understands and uses proper sterile technique. Utilizes proper universal precaution procedures. Displays consistent professionalism. Is energetic and empathetic with patients. Consistently displays positive rapport with fellow employees. Understands role in the clinical team effort. Demonstrates flexibility in job assignment. Takes pride and ownership in success and image of Eye Surgeons and Physicians. Demonstrates initiative in accomplishing practice goals.Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Promptly and professionally provide direct care to 2-3 patients per hour. Must be willing to help in all areas and understand the need for efficient use of time. Assist doctors when needed. Performing technical workups and special testing. Returning phone calls to patients and pharmacies in a timely manner. Respond to refill requests Schedule and confirm appointments as needed Maintain and clean equipment and exam rooms. Efficiently and accurately interview patients and document histories. Accurately perform (Technician components of exam, Tonometry, Refractions, Diagnostic Testing (OCT's, Visual Fields, Fundus Photos, Lenstar/IOL Master, Topography), Other duties as assigned by management and/or physicians Competitive Salary and limited part-time benefits package!Job Types:
