If you have previous eye care skills, that's great! If you do not, we will have you up and running in a week and over the course of a few months you can master all tasks. What we can't train is personality and attitude. It's a fast-paced position and we are looking for someone who can work quickly, efficiently and multitask. Qualifications:
We need caring individuals who are personable, reliable, willing to learn, flexible, empathetic and work well with fellow team members. The ability to speak Spanish is a desirable skill but not necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The job of the Optometric Assistant is to pre-test the patients prior to the doctors seeing them. We are a very technology driven practice and you will be learning to use many pieces of equipment only found in eye care. As you move patients through the pre-testing process, making them feel at ease with the process is one of your most important tasks. Cleaning rooms, seating patients, ordering contact lenses and/or supplies is also part of your day.
