In this vital role, you will assist in providing exceptional eye care services, support optical operations, and ensure patients receive personalized eyewear solutions. Your proactive approach will contribute to a welcoming environment, ensuring every patient feels valued and cared for. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting dedicated to improving quality of life through clear vision. Will train an otherwise strong candidate with the appropriate skills. Duties Assist patients with eyewear fittings, adjustments, and repairs to ensure optimal comfort and fit Dispense spectacle lenses and recommend appropriate frames based on patient needs and preferences Manage patient records while maintaining strict clinical confidentiality policies Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about eyewear options, insurance coverage, and health regulations policy compliance Support retail sales efforts by promoting eyewear products, managing POS systems, and processing transactions accurately Skills Strong knowledge of optometry principles, optics, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to eye health Experience with optical laboratory processes including spectacle lens dispensing and eyewear frame adjustment Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical coding, billing procedures, and clinic experience to ensure compliance and accuracy in medical records management Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations including pediatrics and seniors Retail management experience including retail math, sales techniques, cash register operations, POS systems, and retail sales strategies Understanding of health regulation policies including state healthcare regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for billing, prescriptions, and inventory management Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
