Optical Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optical Technician to join our healthcare team. As an Optical Technician, you will assist in the examination, fitting, and dispensing of eyewear, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medical standards. Duties Conduct comprehensive eye measurements Prepare and dispense corrective lenses, including fitting glasses and contact lenses to meet individual patient needs. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems Provide patient education on optical products, lens care, and proper usage to promote optimal eye health. Manage inventory of optical supplies, including lenses, frames, and diagnostic tools, while tracking expiration dates and reorder points

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security. Experience working with EMR systems Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics and senior care populations. Retail experience Basic knowledge of medical billing practices related to outpatient services is preferred but not required. Pay:

$10.00 - $16.00 per hour
