Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our healthcare team. This full-time role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional patient care within a busy dynamic ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and experience with EMR systems. Prior optical or clinic experience, along with familiarity with medical billing and coding, is highly valued; however we are willing to train. The position involves supporting ophthalmologists in patient intake, and maintaining accurate medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Candidates should be committed to maintaining aseptic techniques and delivering compassionate care across diverse patient populations, including pediatrics. Responsibilities Review patient charts for completeness and accuracy of information Take ocular and systemic history and accurately record visual acuity Performs testing required by type of exam scheduled Assists in advnaced ophthalmic procedures Administers • Qualifications Prior experience in ophthalmology or medical office settings preferred; clinic experience is a plus Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to ophthalmology Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations, including pediatrics Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment This role offers an engaging opportunity for qualified candidates passionate about eye health and patient service.
