We are seeking an experienced ophthalmology / optometry assistant to work in our Wyomissing office. Great salary, benefits and work environment. Responsible for daily patient care and assisting physicians with patient encounters, documenting the patient exam, and facilitating the timely flow of patients in and out of exam rooms. Bilingual is a plus.
Essential Duties:
Perform ophthalmic work up, including but not limited to: Visual Acuity, Lensometry, Keratometry, Refractions, Muscle Testing, Pupil Exams, Slit Lamp Exams, Tonometry, Confrontation Fields, and Amsler Grid. Remain present during physician exam and accurately record exam notes into patient's health record. Assist physician with procedures and other medical treatments. Certification a plus, but not necessary.
