Optometric Technician

Beautiful, high-end, busy optometry practice seeks a motivated, hard-working, dependable, knowledgeable optometric technician. This person will be involved in direct patient contact and collection of clinical data necessary for the visual health and performance of the patient. Accuracy and attention to detail are very important. This position is responsible for the pre-exam work up of patients, collecting clinical data in the following areas: pretesting, case history, visual acuity, stereopsis and color vision. Educating patients on their visual needs and explaining testing is a large part of the job. Other administrative, medical or optical duties such as eyewear dispensing or front desk might be included.
